Alma 23:14 - The Lone Amalekite

The lone Amalekite convert,   Who braved the journey alone,   To a land where he was not known,   In search of truth and light.   He found it in the pages of a book,   That told of Jesus Christ,   And His love for all mankind.   The Amalekite convert knew,   That this was the message he needed to hear,   And so he took it to heart.   Now he shares it with others,   In the hope that they too will find   The peace and happiness that comes from knowing Christ.

Warriors Of The night

The warriors of the night. Called to defend those who cannot fight, they are the guardians of the weak. Dressed in black from head to toe, these silent protectors keep watch over us all. Never asking for recognition or thanks, they do what must be done to keep us safe. So if you wake up in the middle of the night and see them standing there, do not be afraid. These are the warriors of the night. They are here to keep us safe. “The world is a dark and terrible place  Filled with creatures that should not be  And ancient forces that seek to enslave us  We are but pawns in their cosmic game  Doomed to an eternity of suffering  And yet, we still cling to our sanity  In the face of such madness   For what else can we do but go insane?   In the darkness, we find our strength  And in the chaos, we find our purpose We are the warriors of the night  The guardians of the weak  The protectors of the innocent We are the ones who stand...

Chortles of the Children

The chortles of the children could be heard from the other side of the house. It was a beautiful sound that made everyone smile. Even the grumpiest of people couldn't help but chuckle at the happy noise

The Inescapable Pull of Time

We are bound by time, Tethered to the past and future By an invisible cord. We can struggle and fight, But eventually we all succumb To the relentless pull of time. It is the great equalizer, The one thing that can bind The mightiest of kings To the lowliest of peasants. In the end, we are all At the mercy of time, And there is nothing That can ever truly escape it.

The Art in the Artist

A Poet's Words

Go make words With your nimble fingers And your quick wit And your sharp tongue Make words that sing And words that dance Make words that soar And words that dive Make words that laugh And words that cry Make words that live And words that die But most of all Make words that love And words that hate And words that touch And words that burn For only then Will you truly Be a poet

The Dragon

The sun was shining and the birds were singing. The flowers were blooming and the bees were buzzing. All was right in the world. But there was one creature who was not happy. This creature was a dragon, and his name was Harold. Harold lived in a dark cave, far away from the sunshine and happiness of the outside world. He never left his cave, for he was too afraid of what might happen to him if he did. One day, however, something inside Harold stirred. He couldn't explain it, but he felt like he needed to see what was beyond his cave. So, with a heavy heart, he stepped out into the light for the first time in many years...
