A Writer's Worst Nightmare: Struggling With Writer's Block
INT. KITCHEN - NIGHT
A young woman, JEN, sits at a table, a laptop in front of her. She looks frustrated, her face in her hands.
JEN
(to herself)
This is terrible. Why can't I write anything good?
She types a few words, then deleted them. She types a few more, then sighs and leans back in her chair.
JEN
(to herself)
This is never going to work. I'm not cut out for this.
She gets up and paces around the kitchen. She opens the fridge and stares inside, then closes it and leans against it, her head in her hands.
JEN
(to herself)
What am I doing with my life? I can't even write a decent story.
She sits back down at the table and starts to cry. She types a few more words, then gives up and slams the laptop shut.
JEN
(to herself)
This is pointless. I'm never going to be a writer.
